Altu’s used to be my favorite restaurant in East Lansing until I was subjected to a horrendously disrespectful treatment by the staff. It all started when I found an inch-long broken piece of knife in my food. I forgot to take its picture, however the attached picture matches the dimensions. I brought it to the server’s attention who immediately sprung at it and took it away, promising that he would investigate. He never returned. And, once they had the evidence out, their tone changed completely. No apologies were rendered; in fact, no one came to the table to check with us. When I asked to see the manager, I was told that she is not around. I was denied her contact number. And, in an utterly rude and disrespectful manner told to come the next day. I have sent an email to the ID listed online. It’s been a week but I haven’t back from them.This kind of negligence is unimaginable and can lead to fatal injuries. So, please check your food at Altu’s. And, I cannot comment on the staff. One which I always found friendly and courteous behaved in a completely unacceptable manner. I am not going back to this place ever.
