Comfortable Atmosphere and Wonderful Food. We had this place recommended to us by a couple of friends and decided to check it out, and we were not disappointed. The server was appropriately attentive, without being overbearing, and the wine and liquor selection was quite nice compared to other fine dining restaurants in the area. We started with the calamari as an appetizer, which was just delightful. Then we moved on to the special entrees; I got the hoisin glazed sirloin with risotto, and my wife got the sun-dried tomato and parmesan crusted whitefish with a polenta cake, both of which were delicious, especially for the price. As for dessert, the big cookie skillet dish was a great way to end the experience. We will definitely be back, hopefully with some friends.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!. We went here for NYE 2012, which was my first time visiting the restaurant. Yes we had a larger group (12 of us) but we had made reservations weeks ahead of time. Our reservation was at 8:30, and our entire group was 5-10 minutes early getting there. We were not seated until 9:40!! The whole time waiting was spent standing because their minimally furnished waiting area was already fully occupied and the tiny bar area was also full. Once seated, we realized they had only set the table for 11, so they had to bring another chair and place setting for us. It probably took about 10 minutes to even get our drink orders taken, and even longer for us to put in our food orders. They were serving a limited menu for the evening, so you would think most everything would be prepped and it would be quick for the food to arrive, but no! We saw the manager wandering the dining room, but he never once stopped by our table to see how things were going or to appologize for the delays. The only bright side of the visit was our server. She understood our frustrations and tried her hardest to move things along quickly.
Holy Crap. This place is so unbelievably bad. The worst service I’ve had in the Lansing area but ironically the food matches such caliber – it was inedible. The place is clearly managed by a bunch of people who know absolutely nothing about the restaurant industry. I’ve yet to see anyone actually work in there. The decor is spotty. The design is sorry. The entire concept is poor. How can this place exist? Go to Buddies instead, they don’t try to be something they aren’t. Or maybe they should hire someone who has worked in a restaurant. The food is laughable at best. The wine list looks like it was written by a child.
Overpriced and just not good. Great ambience, though you overlook a golf course, which you will either appreciate or not as goes your attitude towards golf, I guess. However, the food is miserable. Really bad. I’ve eaten there 4 times and each meal was worse than the last. The final time I was dragged there I just got a burger thinking that at least they couldn’t screw that up. No such luck.
Horrid. The new bartender here was unattentive, unprofessional and down right rude to some of the guests sitting around me which I thought was ridiculously inappropriate, making fun of people to their faces thinking that they won’t understand. Nice atmosphere and well decorated restaurant but the food was sub par at best and I couldn’t even get the bartenders attention to convey my distaste for my meal. By the time that he came back around I was already so put off by his actions that I just paid my bill and left. I don’t think I’ll be returning if he is still there.
