One of the best night spots in east lansing. Dublin is a different bar for different people at different times. For lunch it’s a great Irish pub with an authentic bar. For dinner on an MSU sports night, it’s a great sports bar. On Wednesday night when the students are partying – it’s a fun night club. I can understand why people would be confused if they are new to the area – if you go in expecting a traditional Irish pub when it’s operating more like a nightclub – I get it. That’s different than what you expected. However, to the people that know and love Dublin, like me, that’s just a part of its charm.
This place serves ok food. This place plays VERY loud music and there are college kids running amok. This not a nice a place for family. Although I have seen people bring their family’s and kids here I am not sure how they manage. The music is so loud you cannot hear the person next to you speak and that is during morning hours! Also the food is expensive.
We had a great time with an amazing waitress (Lex, I think), food was so good and didn’t taste frozen. The place is so beautiful. I purchased a groupon and then read these reviews, I was fearful. We went around 6:30 during the week and the dinner was amazing. I highly recommend this place.
