A classic place in EL. I’m pretty sure this is only the roof-top-patio in East Lansing. Maybe I’m wrong. Having a drink and a burrito on the patio in the summer is a tradition I think most people that have lived in EL have done.
Absolutely horrible, you can make better food at home. I wouldn’t feed the meat to my dogs, no carry out bags or boxes, horrendous service. This place is a nightmare I wish I could rate it lower.
Oh my good golly gosh.I haven’t been to El Azteco in several years. I decided on a night out with my girlfriend that I was having a craving for Mexican food. With Thanksgiving just having passed the day before, options for eating were not in abundance. After parking and wandering around East Lansing, we found ourselves walking in through the front door of what must be one of the area’s most overrated restaurants.I ordered flautas and my girlfriend got a chimichanga. I also opted for the standard appetizer of chips and salsa. Each dish, from the cheap tortilla chips to the main course, was disappointing. The cheese on my flautas was cold, thick, and reminded me of the sort of silliness you’d find on an item at Taco Bell. My girlfriend’s food went unfinished because the flavor was so lacking.I can’t complain about the service. Our waitress was nice enough to deduct one of the entrees and did an all-around good job of serving us.
Had an awesome dinner at El Az tonite. Green chile chicken enchiladas that were excellent. Better than I had expected. And the Margarita was well done! Service was also good. We had a pleasant summer evening and sat up on the roof.
Flavorless.. This is possibly my least liked restaurant ever. The food has literally no flavor, and come on, it is supposed to mexican! I ordered a quesadilla which was simply a flour tortilla filled with tasteless cheese and unseasoned chicken. I had to order a side of guacamole to cover the whole thing with to make it not taste like I was eating cardboard. The food was so bad I was almost laughing, like this cannot be real. And then to top it off, my friend asked for a box and was given two paper plates! At least give me a stapler too to keep them together. If you’re craving mexican, just drive a mile further down Grand River and eat at Los Tres Amigos.
Topopo Salad. Mexican chef salad
They rely on chef Mic. Ive seen there kitchen and all it is is microwaves…. and a few ex employees ive met say nothing but bad things, I mean its pretty bad when the people who work there wont eat the food….
