AMAZING Taiwanese Style Chinese Restaurant. I’m so glad my friends introduced me to this restaurant. Days where I become homesick (Taiwan), I come here and the food/drinks instaneously treats it. It tastes just like home which really means something, that it’s authentic and that’s what I solely love. Grab some friends and head there asap for a fun time singing KTV or playing pool coupled with a few beers, or just enjoy the company of other people at later hours, cause it gets PACKED. Please, if your there, TRY THE BUBBLE TEA!!!!!!! The only gripe I would have is the service. Not that the waitress or waiter is disrespectful, but I noticed the lack of employees as I see one waitress running in and out of the kitchen endlessly trying to get everyone’s order made. While at the same time make drinks, setup KTV and pool, and total bills. I hate to say it but it gets really slow sometimes. Hopefully they can get that solved!!
Excellent authentic Chinese food. I have been to this restaurant multiple times and always loved it. Be careful to note this is not Americanized Chinese food, this is real Chinese food cooked for the taste of Chinese people. For me, it is absolutely delicious and 100% better than Americanized Chinese. My favorites include Braised Pork Belly with Rice, Spicy Beef Tendons & Beef (just try it, you will like it), Chinese vegetables, and the Bubble Tea.By the way, I’ve been to multiple authentic Chinese restaurants and certain Chicken dishes are almost always served with bones. I’m sure this is important for good food flavor. If you are good with chopsticks, it will be easier to eat around the bones and, in my opinion, will be worth the effort.
Authentic Taiwan style Chinese cuisine. I was searching for Chinese restaurants in EL when this popped up – glad I went! The food is Taiwan style, which means they’ll have dishes prepared accordingly. I ordered beef noodle soup, duck egg congee, beef chow fun (those wide rice noodles with beef, onions & sprouts), pork belly over rice, home style braised tofu, and the veg of the day. My in-laws said the veg was something they had in Taiwan & enjoyed it, everything else was also really good. The owner/chef said they’ll be updating the menu soon but would keep it in a similar style, looking forward to trying it out!To the other reviewer, in fact yes that is a pretty typical preparation of chicken. I’ve had similar dishes with chopped up chicken & peppers – loved the heat, but it’s definitely work to eat around those bones. It’s hard to know which dishes to try out, especially with menus that don’t have more familiar Chinese-American dishes. Hong’s, maybe that’s something to consider? In any case we’ll definitely be back. The cafe also serves up really good bubble tea. It has four full size pool tables & a full bar, looks to be a Karaoke TV set up also.
Local resident, Will Not Return. I ordered the spicy chicken at the recommendation of one of the employees. Nearly every piece of chicken had bones in it, making for a terrible experience. When approached, the server said it was the way it came. Either it is a case of bad customer service, a bad chef, or both. I live less than a half mile away from this place and would not come back. If you are going to get similar food to this in the same plaza, get Wok N Roll as it is less expensive, better tasting, and has a waaaaaaaaayy lower chance of causing you to choke to death. If you do find yourself here with a friend, order the bubble tea and tell them you are full. You will save yourself all the trouble of playing Russian roulette with their food.
