My go-to place in EL.. I’m a vegetarian that loves beer. There isn’t a better fit in the area. The food is pretty darn good for being a college town. I choose from the vegan options on the menu, every time I go – which is 3+ times per week. The staff is all excellent and always friendly. They have about 15 or so taps, and only two of them are not craft/premium handles. Great specials every day of the week and everything is reasonably priced. The best part is that I can walk there! My favorite place in town.
Update. Updating my old review. The owner now literally knows me by name, and I’m best friends wih half the staff. Great ethnic food, awesome burgers, cheap drinks are poured strong. There’s more local and craft brews on tap or in bottles than ever, so you just can’t go wrong. Love this place.02 Jun, 2010Yum. There’s so much to cover with this place. The authentic middle-eastern food is mouthwateringly great across the board. The American send-ups like burgers are incredible. The drink specials are incredibly cheap, and they pour them both very strong and very delicious. They recently installed new taps to bring the total to 20 beers on tap, with dozens of local bottles in the fridge. I go there so often I think the owner knows me by name, and it’s only gotten better since the smoking ban- you can actually smell the wonderful food now! It’s even great for family dining if you can find a quiet spot in the backroom during off-hours.
Woody’s is a great place for middle eastern in the Lansing area. Chicken shwarma can be dry at times, however, the dishes are good for fast middle eastern fare.

Very good food with many vegan options. Holy crap that falafel burger was gigantic…but sooo good. Also a nice beer selection.
Awesome. I love Woody’s. It is my favorite watering hole in town. Their drink specials are always great, and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. One thing that I really like about Woody’s is that they usually have three or four local-to-Michigan microbrews on tap, and they are rotated regularly. It’s nice to be able to try some of the best beer this state has to offer, and it’s nice to know that they are supporting Michigan businesses. While I’m not a huge fan of Mediterranean food, a lot of the dishes they have are very good and always well-prepared.
Great drink/beer selection. Food is better at trowbridge location.
