It’s not awful, but I can’t believe all the hype.. Perhaps if you’ve never had real Mediterranean food you would enjoy Woodies, but it’s far from authentic and you can definitely tell everything is pre-made and kept warm in the back. It’s really quite generic food, dry meat, bland hummus, soup tastes like it was frozen and reheated, and after spending $35 on food, still had to pay extra to get a little bit of garlic sauce for my dry shawarma meat. The prices are pretty decent, I would likely eat here again if I was drunk and hungry and nothing else was open…. I could see it being enjoyable for the college crowd, as it’s quick and cheap and really not bad tasting if you’re not looking for authenticity… but it’s really a fast food version of Americanized Mediterranean food. It’s decent, but not legit by any means.
Food is so good and authentic. Got the garlic and spicy hummus, fatoosh salad with a grilled chicken kabob and the hubby got chicken shawarma. We shared and both loved everything. Clean place with great hospitality.
