  I just left breadbasket, they gave me some fries that look like they had been sitting for a week… Please up your standards. Serve people the way you would like to be served.do it right, or don’t do it at all!!!

  I have been a loyal customer of the Bread Basket for many years. I have had the pleasure of visiting all of them, with the exception of Lincoln Park. Let me say, that this was the worst corn beef sandwich at this location, that I have ever had. This location does not even paper wrap the sandwiches. And they no longer put your sandwich in the cute Bread Basket paper bags. They put your order in a plastic bag, which is bad for the environment, which to me. takes away from the character and the experience of the sandwich. When I asked why the sandwiches no longer come wrapped or at least they carry the smaller paper bags? I was told, that the manager said, that the wrapping for the sandwiches, were costly and they could save more money, by using the plastic bags and the Styrofoam containers. The quality of the corn beef was poor.Very fatty and chewy. I asked for a #14 large with extra meat with extra cheese toasted. I did not get my extra meat and no cheese. My sandwich looked old and it was cold, actually it looked like a order that someone did not pick up. There was old scraped off mustard and mayo on my sandwich which was also stuck to some of the meat. Which I ordered dry so I know it was someone else order.That they doctored up, and gave to me. The sweet potato pie was HORRIBLE!! The only reason i did not take it back was because I don’t have a car, and used Lyft to get there. I paid over $20 for my order, and $36 for lyft for a bold cold sandwich, which I should of checked. But I have never had a bad experience so I didn’t think I had to check. Lesson learned. I don’t know who the manager or owner is, of this location. But he or she, should be ashamed of themselves, for serving the customer watered down cheap products. This is not the Bread Basket I know. This is an imitation. And a disgrace to the Bread Basket legacy. All Bread Baskets should be held up to the same standards. Because one bad experience, might speak for all of them, to a first time customer. And by looking at their reviews, they need to do better. It is safe to say, I will never go to this location again. The only good thing I can say is, that the young man that took my order was nice. Also I reached out to their Customer Service, which in return did not contact me back.

  Overall, okay. Corned Beef is from Sy Ginsberg. My first sample sandwich was terrific. Glad I ordered a Legendary Corned Beef & Swiss, small. Any larger sandwich and I’d be eating remnants for days! Very nice, buttery Swiss cheese.
