Amazing Experience!!. Brick Street gave me and my family an exceptionally special dinning experience. The dinning room which we sat in was beautiful and had an enormous fireplace that illuminated the entire room. The wait staff made the night extra special as well since we were celebrating a birthday and he was very knowledgeable on the specialty cocktails they had to offer as well as their dinner specials. I had the Prime Rib Special which was very savory and tender! I would definitely recommend coming here and cannot wait to come back again very soon!
A good time and good food. I come up from the Rochester area for business and i have always seen Brickstreets sign on north I-75 near Grand Blanc, so one day I decided to stop in.I had the full slab of ribs for my main course and a salad with 1000 island dressing before hand. The ribs slid right off the bone and were delicious. I would definitely go back just for them. The service was quite good and the over all feel of the place was rather nice. I would recommend you check it out if you are ever in the area.
First and maybe last dinner at Brick Street. A few friends joined my wife and I at Brick Street for dinner. This was the first time either one of us had a chance to eat at Brick Street. We started with a drink order, as we waited for the remaining guests to show up. I ordered a hoppy michigan beer, when it came out it was either something off an old keg or not the beer I ordered, it tasted more like blue moon to me. After a few minutes I was able to get the servers attention and ordered a different beer, which was better. As the others arrived, we put in an order for the spinach artichoke dip. This was a good starter and tasted great, but took sometime to come out. It seemed like our server was not all that interested in our table. We placed our dinner order I got the Angus Reserve NY, my wife got the tenderloin tips and mushrooms. The tenderloin tips were good, the sauce was good but the dish was lacking in the mushroom department. The side veggies were lackluster and cold. All I can say about my steak is that it was cooked properly inside, medium rare. However, no real char outside, kind of lighter in color The size seemed a little small for a 14oz steak. Additionally, for a higher grade cut and being a NY strip it was very fatty and had silver skin throughout. Really not worth the price. Overall the meal was just average and if you add the pricing and service, it would fall below par. I normally give places a couple of tries before writing them off, not so sure I’ll be back to Brickstreet anytime soon.
Brick Street is one of the top two restaurant in the Grand Blanc area. It is always packed, food is delicious. I always bring my visitors there.
Excellent atmosphere, live music, very friendly staff, and the food was very good! My family and I will definitely go back again!!
Worst Dining Experience EVER!. As parents of 3 young kids, my husband and I don’t get out much. But we were lucky enough to get away the other night and my husband chose Brick Street. We love the outdoor patio, the live music, it was a beautiful night for dining outside, perfect. Too bad the staff and food at Brick St. ruined it. The hostess was less than inviting, smirking as she told us it would be a 25 minute wait and did we still want to sit outside. We agreed to wait at the bar till a table was ready. Even though there were PLENTY of tables available outside and PLENTY of waitstaff to cover them. After waiting 10 minutes at least, the bartender came over, asked what we’d like. We waited another 10-15 minutes to actually get a drink! Our table was ready! We grabbed our drinks, went to the hostess station, only to be completely ignored by the ungracious hostess. After getting her attention, the light bulb in her head went off and she remembered that she still needed to seat us. I grabbed 2 menus for us after I noticed she didn’t grab any, an proceeded to follow her out to the patio…the hostess DID NOT EVEN HOLD THE DOOR OPEN FOR ME! I was holding 2 menus and a drink, following her out to the patio and she didn’t even think to hold the door open. My 10 year old has better manners than that. So we get seated, and my husband has the direct glare of the sun setting in his face. No getting around it. So once our inexperienced waitress finally showed up, we asked to move to another table out of the glare of the sun. That stressed her out, but non the less, we moved to a great table with an umbrella, great view of the one man band playing, thinking maybe things will turn around. NOT! Once again, the waitstaff was extremely slow. Once we finally had our order taken, we were 1 hour and 18 minutes into our evening. Our second drinks arrived 1 hour and 37 minutes into our evening. Our food finally arrives, we ordered appetizers to split, spinach dip and potstickers. I can only describe the food as the most disgusting ever. The potstickers were greasy, laying in a fuschia colored sauce of sorts with what appeared to be brownish baby pooped squirted on top. Upon tasting a potsticker, it was a thick peanut butter type sauce. GROSS, so GROSS. The spinach dip had to be better, right? WRONG. It was a bowl of cold white and green glob that didn’t even taste like it was ever made up of cream cheese, spinach or cheese of any kind. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Once our waitress appeared again, we asked for our bill with only the two drinks we had on it so that we could leave. She of course had the manager come over and she apologized, but never offered to comp our drinks or anything. IF YOU ARE THE OWNER OF BRICK ST. BAR & GRILL, you are sitting on a goldmine. But you have to clean up house, get some capable staff and please figure out what’s gong on with the food!
Don’t be fooled by the pleasant surroundings!. Attended a party there yesterday. $20 bought an appetizer buffet of watery bruschetta w/garlic? bread, cold mini-eggrolls, gristle-filled meatballs in a bland brown sauce, clumpy, cold spinich artichoke dip and cheese cubes and crackers. The trays went empty for a long time after the first group got their food. Take extra cash for the $3 pop and expensive bar drinks. Saving grace was the good table service. Never again!
