Just tried this restaurant for the first time and it was GROSS!! We spent almost $50.00 on takeout and when we got it, it didn’t come with enough white rice, so when I went to purchase more on the same card, the ignorant girl said I have to spend $5. more or she couldnt take it. She was rude and the food was beyond horrible!! The fried rice was in a cream sauce??? Almond chicken had peanuts and was unlike any I had ever had! This restaurant needs to close its doors! Most of our food went uneaten and the little we could eat made a few of us sick!
Clear winner of the best Rangoons around! Loved them(and you get 6).23 Dec, 2014Very tasty! Best in town! Was delighted to find this quality on a small hometown restaurant.
Best Chinese Food in the area!. We eat there often and have never had a bad meal. The food is always very fresh and steaming hot. Love the egg rolls and spring rolls. The flavor of all dishes is perfect. Jack is a very friendly and caring chef….always checking with the clientele to make sure they are happy with their meal. The staff is very friendly. Cannot say enough great things about The Lotus Room……super place!
The General Tso’s chicken was a total let down. While it’s not uncommon to have low quality meat in Chinese food, I expect better from an $11 dish. The sauce was so light that it just tasted like run of the mill fried chicken. Price includes a big bowl of white rice, which was nice to fill up on once I gave up on the chicken. For my money I’ll save a dollar, go to Gourmet Wok on Bristol, and enjoy the included soup, egg roll, fried rice, and better meat. I would have shared my feedback with the restaurant staff, but asked how my meal was. I thought that was pretty standard waiting. Apparently asking for a check and no box with 90% of my meal remaining did not indicate a problem. Bottom line: if you don’t mind subpar food and service for slightly above averages prices, you might want to check them out.
Great food and plenty of it. We will be back soon. Jay loves it too.
Very good. After reading rave reviews, I decided to give Lotus Room a try. The menu isn’t very big and doesn’t compare to the bigger authentic Chinese restaurant (although there are none that I know of in the Genesse region). With that said, I am impressed with the quality of food that they have. I had the drunken noodles and it was very good. Both the chicken and beef were very tender and properly cooked. The shrimps were crisp and fresh. The hot and sour soup is a bit too spicy and not sour enough for my taste but it is one of the better ones I have tasted.Last but not least, the staff is outstanding. They are attentative (without overbearing) and efficient. The place is also very clean. Will definitely revisit and try other dishes on the menu. The price is acceptable. Not cheap but not expensive either.
Excellent. Wanted a hot and spicy beef entree. The imperial beef was perfect. They accommodated me by kicking up the heat per my request !! And it was superb !! Hot and sour soup very good as well !! Like the rice noodles and rice served with it. Would go back for sure !!’
