I’ve always liked Westside diner until today. I ordered my usual meal and when I received it, I barely had any hash browns. When I asked about the small amount I received I was told that was a regular portion which I know it’s not. Like I said. This is my normal meal. When I took my plate to the owner to let him know about the very small portion he was very rude and told me to order something else or I had to pay more for extra hash browns. He then continued to talk crap about me across the restaurant. This is not the first time he has been rude. I am done coming here!
I’ve been going here for my whole. Amazing burgers, great pasty melts, inlets are huge and sooo good. Classic 50’s diner style. This place is historical for flint. I remembering celebrating family birthdays, and getting together with friends. I’ve never had a thing to complain about.
The staff here was very rude when I went. A few of the waitresses smelled like weed even. Although the food may be good I won’t go back. The place was also dirty.
So-So. Milkshakes are great, especially the 50-50! Real whipped cream on top and a generous serving to boot! Breakfasts are great, but I rarely go there anymore. Why? The place seems dirty/dingy and the bathroom doesn’t have hot water. Ug!
Milkshakes. This little diner has great food, and I think the best milkshakes I have ever had in my life. If you want a tasty & sweet treat, try their milkshakes, which they have in several flavors that you can mix and match. Love them! 🙂
Not so good anymore. I’ve been a customer here for about 10 years, and it seems that quality is slipping at Westside Diner. The last time I was in, the place seemed dirty, as one reviewer mentioned. The inside of the place desperately needs an update inside, it looks grubby. The waitress was not real friendly and the food was just average. I was not given a refill on drinks and my cup was empty for well over 15 minutes. The place wasn’t that busy. The cooks seemed more interested in chatting with the young ladies that were seated near the counter. I won’t be dining here again. There are too many other good diner/family resutrants in the area that are clean and friendly.
Good food. I eat breakfast here all the time. I love the #2 over easy with ham and Texas toast. You can’t get a better meal at a cheaper price. My only issue is the inside needs a remodel. It looks like the had a roof leak and it did damage to the outdated posters and ceiling tiles.
