Excellent!!! The place is very clean and well staffed! Food is excellent! I live on the outskirts of Grand Ledge and hadn’t been there in awhile, what a pleasant surprise. Friend had buffalo wings and Alfredo with all the trimmings and I had jalapeno bits and french onion soup, we both had a drink and our bill was less than $40.00. You can’t go wrong.

Don’t waste your time or money.. The new ownership of The Log Jam has failed to live up to the expectations. They even stopped serving breakfast which was always a local favorite. I have tried numerous times to find something good to eat here and have yet to do so. This time, we tried the pizza because who can’t make a decent pizza, right? Well, apparently The Log Jam can’t. We had several pizzas that varied between undercooked to over cooked. They were also way overpriced for what you get. There are a lot better options just a short walk away and I would recommend you take your money and appetite there.
Great craft and micro-brews on-tap!. I’ve seen the Log Jam through some ups and downs, but the new owner has really cleaned up what has become my favorite watering hole/eatery in Grand Ledge. The staff is attentive and polite, the selection of beers is excellent, and the food is second to none. It’s a comfortable place to relax at he end of a long day and I can feed my family of eight without taking out a loan or selling blood!
Go for the food, stay for the bands. Good food! Period. The sandwiches are diverse and tasty. On the weekends they have live music, all locals, and the locals like the atmosphere. When there is an event downtown, this place is the place to be!
Too Bad, So Sad. The Log Jam needs to go back to it roots – good, cheap food in a tavern atmosphere where the locals will return time and time again to support a home town business. Everyone in town was excited when the place was cleaned up and refurbished, but kept the old name and familiar atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was a mirage. The booths, beer and decor are pretty much the same as the place we all remember, but the food has lost all of its personality. The menu simply tries too hard to please too many, Find a half dozen entrees you are good at and stick to them. My wife and I ate there tonight. The Log Jam famous fried fish had shrunk to the point where we felt we had just pulled our dinner from our aquarium. The whitefish dinner was reminiscent of Grand River carp. If it wasn’t for winning a few bucks playing Keno, it would have been a total wash.Concentrate on atmosphere, beer, simple dishes that stick to the ribs, and local favorites like fried fish filets and patty melts. C’mon, Mr. Feta . . . We know you have it in you, and plenty of locals will support.
I agree completely with the below reviewer. Log jam has gone downhill since the new ownership. The food used to be great, now it is absolutely disgusting.
