Poor Hostess Customer Service Skills. I went to the Woodland Mall location by myself on a Wednesday, mid-morning, to try to catch them at a time when they would not be so busy and see if I would be able to get a table or perhaps even a booth. It was, in fact, not very crowded when I got there and no one was waiting to be seated. I saw there were tables open. But when I told the hostess I was by myself, she said, You can sit at the counter or in the side room. I did not want to sit at the counter and I couldnt see what that other room looked like, so I said, Maybe Ill come back a little later. To which she replied in a tone that suggested maybe I had said something bad about her mother, Thats up to you, sir (you know that when people start throwing the word sir around in situations like that, theyre about to be rude to you). Now you can sit at the counter or in the side room.Im thinking I should have said, Yeah! I got that! But I walked out and didnt go back to that warm, friendly place. Id eaten there once before and the food was all right, but nothing to brag about either. No big loss.

I have mixed thoughts when it comes to Anna’s House. My burger was not cooked to order and was kinda burnt, but overall it was pretty good. The fries were hard and bland. The onion rings were pretty good, but very greasy.$4 for a 24oz pot of tea is pricey, especially when they have a limited selection. We’ll probably give them another try, but it won’t be our first choice.

Best Breakfast in Michigan……. Think Again!. This was once a very good restaurant. The quality of food and service is lacking to say the least. I have visited the Plainfield location 4x’s in the past 2 years hoping the previous visit was not the norm. Unfortunately each time was consistently bad. As you can see from the other posts, this is not the best breakfast in Michigan. You can get better quality from McD’s for a fraction of the price. The management should be ashamed to post a sign for best breakfast in Michigan. Wake up…. listen to your customers and perhaps try eating the cold eggs, burnt bacon, stale toast and under cooked pancakes your serving.

The most overrated breakfast in Grand Rapids. Plan on spending $11 for a breakfast that is equal to many other places in GR. I have no clue how this place was voted best breakfast in GR.

The BEST breakfast place in GR!. So happy that the 2nd location is open.

Anna’s House has two locations. I’ve tried several of the dishes at both. Breakfast combos, corned beef Benny, southwest wrap, among others. They have always been very generous in portions (either don’t finish or have to take home some). The new location has a wonderful atmosphere as well and both locations have had great staff to serve us. I had my whole extended family come and they also had great things to say about it. They left so stuffed and happy to have come. I would definitely suggest visiting either location if you haven’t yet or going back if you have. I can see why they won best breakfast in Michigan!

I LOVE ANNA’S HOUSE!! Every time we come in we are greeted with a smile! The servers are always pleasant and attentive. The food is hot and yummy! I LOVE all the gluten free options (I’m gluten free) so many that I don’t feel like I’m missing out in the slightest. I also LOVE the all natural meats they are using! You HAVE the try the sausage patties. They are AMAZING!!!!! If you haven’t been to Anna’s House yet you NEED TO GO!!
