Good first experience!. Went to Charlie’s with my wife last night for the first time – very favorable impression! 6:00 on Saturday night and it was was almost full, looked like many regulars, which is a good sign. By the time we left, the small 2 piece band was starting up and there were people starting to line up to get in! I had the hand battered smelt basket with fries and they were nicely done and tasty, my wife’s burger was also done just right- pink in the middle and juicy. Charlie came around and chatted with each table – she knew most of the folks there by name! All in all, a nice neighborhood bar and grill with a large and friendly staff.
