Was a typical local Mexican resaraunt, food was good but not as good as El Azul Grande in Pikeville, KY. It is very small and they charge for your basket of chips (it was just $1.50 but still). That’s the first time I’ve eaten at a Mexican restaurant and not received basket of chips and salsa for free.
The food is great. Real Mexican food. It’s wonderful. I love the steak it’s tender and flavorful. The salsa verde is great! I’ve been eating there for a few years.
Cheese Enchiladas. Enchiladas ask for them with Barbacoa – cheek meet and the green sauce is poblano sauce!! Don’t order the burrito. Order chips w/Mild Salsa. Entree u can’t go wrong w/the*Sampler. *Enchiladas with Barbacoa cheek meat. *The Alambre – there version of fajitas combination of steak, chicken, and spicy pork with melted cheese, sliced onions, tomatoes, and jalapeno. Or our personal favorite which is in the pictures the *Molcajete combo or just pork. Big enough for 2 to share.
Best Mexican. Food is great. Service I’d rate as fantastic. Beats any other Mexican food in GR.
Great lunch spot. This is one of our offices favorite spots for lunch. Someone else goes to get the food, so I have never been there and cannot attest to the service, but I know the food is fantastic! I get the tamales lunch special for $6, which is cheaper than a burger combo at a drive thru, and much tastier, too! And our lunch order has never been screwed up, which seems to be beyond some of our office’s former lunch spots, like Arby’s & Taco Bell. Forget fast food, go with authentic and local.
Wow!! They have by far the bet authentic Mexican food in the area.
My favorite Mexican food in Kent County. I asked a Mexican guy where to get great Mexican food and this was his recommendation, so I’m not surprised it’s good. The red salsa is addictive and comes with the chips. The tacos are great as is everything I’ve tried there. Very attentive and pleasant staff. This is where the people in the know go.
