We went here on a Thursday night, they had a live band that played different instruments like a kazoo and xylophone. It was eclectic and different but still fun to sit, have a beer and nite to eat while they played. The Founders store was great and had everything you could want and the bar had several brews on top that the bartender was eager to let you sample. The prices were great and the snacks were bomb. We had the bratwurst chili and the cheese bread appetizer and that was amazing. We ordered some bar peanuts too. They see very tasty with plenty of slat on the shell and nice roasted peanut inside. It was a nice to place to go for our first stop into town.
Took the brewery tour and finished with our own tasting and lunch! Best bruschetta ever!!! Great beer, awesome food… What could be better???
Over the weekend, we had to pay five dollars a person to sit down. If I hadn’t wanted to try it so bad, and hadn’t driven an hours just to try it, we would have definitely left. The food is okay -but not worth the cost and the extra $20 cover we paid just to occupy a table. It’s a lot of hype and promise that doesn’t deliver.
Very good sandwiches here but the waitstaff seemed a little unorganized. Still, the sandwich I had was delicious and they came out really fast despite the rush.
Got the devil dancer and the castro sub dirty bastard mustard. Both very good. Devil dancer has some awesome heat. So good with a das radikal ipa. Pork on the castro had great flavor but could use a lil more sauce or something. Bread is phenomenal. Beer cheese was also great and beers, who doesnt like a founders.
Great if you can get a table. Food and drinks are top notch, which everyone in GR knows already. Just really wish they would handle guest seating, rather than it be a mad free for all. If you want to get a table on a busy night you have to be comfortable with awkwardly standing over somenoe’s shoulder while they wrap up their own meal.Brushetta and bar cheese are crazy good.
