Raw pizza delivery!?!?. The last 3 times I have had pizza delivered from Fred’s it was raw in the middle! Literally raw, with the cheese melted on top!! How in the world do you manage that?! So disappointing! Even after being in the oven for an additional 20 min it still tasted funny! Oh and they lied about having fresh mushrooms, I asked if they had them yet and they said yes for an additional charge (more than the canned i guess) I could get them, well they gave me canned mushrooms, and charged me 2.79 for those canned mushrooms!
Oh how the mighty have fallen. It used to be the best pizza in town, and then suddenly it went bad in a really bad way. The quality went out the window. I stop in there from time to time to see if they learned from their mistake, but it just never works out. I gave up.I used to order one of their pizzas every weekend. Sad.

The Gods smile. Only Fred’s Italian Restaurant has the best pizza in the area. The staff is very friendly and so are the clientele. Kind of an anti Pizza Hut. Authentic Italian like Taco Boy is authentic Mexican. Tasteless.
Casual Dining. I’d like to tell all of you out there about the greatest Italian restaurant in Grand Rapids. Fred’s, located on Plainfield Ave., serves up the best, hot, italian food this side of Michigan. Also, to delite the palate, they offer a variety of wines and the beer is always cold and refreshing! How good can it be?. Authentic Italian food really made in house! Now chain restaurant food here. This place has been great for over 40 years. My Dad drug me in here as a kid Good call dad! Now I bring my gang of four and No argument everyone’s happy. How nice.
