Always a safe choice for a good breakfast. The waitstaff is always friendly and the prices are low. Don’t expect anything but a simple, classic breakfast. The hangover skillet is pretty great, and the $3 breakfast special is an awesome deal.
I have been to the Michigan street locations many times. Great food and nice staff. Awesome place to go, eat and hang out. Their salads are way better now than they used to be and their junk yard dog is amazing. We alway have fast service and our food is always hot and delicious.However, today I am at the new 28th street location with my daughter and they screwed up both of our orders. We had two very simple orders and they failed horrible. The waitress who took our order brought it right out like nothing was wrong. It’s like you wrote that down less than 10 mins ago, seriously. Wtf? They have what looks like 3 managers here doing a whole lot of nothing and they are beyond over staffed from the number of customers and yet no one knows what the hell they are doing. This is really sad because who ever they have running the other grand coney must be holding that place together. I’m still waiting for my food to come back correctly, which is kind of nasty and completely illegal because you can’t take food back into the kitchen and then the server gave me some bs story. Wow I wish there were negative numbers or at least a zero available on this scale. And just to prove I was here, here are pictures from my seat.Also ended up sending food back and had it taken off the bill, guess I’m not eating today I’ll have to eat later.
