Ehh.. The best part of the Lantern is the building. Super cool place to hang out downtown. However, the barista was rude and unfriendly. The latte I had was so-so. My wife’s latte wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t a specialty drink I’d buy again. I have a few friends who really like this place, but to me it wasn’t even as good as a starbucks…Prices are fair.
One of the best places in Grand Rapids. I’ve sampled quite a few items from their menu and I have to say that Lantern is amazing. Their cappuccinos are to die for and their Strawberry-Vanilla loose leaf is heavenly. The staff are always pleasant and the whole coffeehouse has a great ambiance whether you are hanging out with friends, just there for a quick cup of joe, or even on a date.
