Up visiting GVSU for the day and stopped by O’Toole’s. First off, great atmosphere. We started with the poutine app. I’ve had my fair share of cheese curds in my day and these rank right up there. The IPA gravy was killer as well. For our meals we got the Food Coma burger and the Southern Buffalo wrap. The burger was a good size but tasted like the burger itself had no seasoning; very much a ground beef taste. The wrap was very good and would highly recommend. Overall, would go again but not all the time.

Great hamburger. I think this is probably the best burger in GR. The beef had a subtle tasty flavor and was cooked just as I ordered; a perfect medium rare. The bun was the perfect accompaniment along with the plentiful melted cheddar cheese and thousand island dressing. Even the tomatoes were juicy. Service was great even though the place was busy. I would definitely go back.
Don’t waste your time. We ate here regularly for a while because my boyfriend loves their burgers, but I won’t be going back. I find their food to be mediocre at best, and the last two times I went in there I walked out without even eating due to the poor service. The first time, the waitress waited until our food was almost up to let us know they had run out of what I had ordered. The last time, we were with a group of 4, and not one person’s order came out correct. One entree had to be sent back 3 times. Mine was just beyond redemption and I asked to have it removed from the bill after one bite. Not once did a manager stop by our table to apologize or try to resolve it. After service like that, I won’t be returning.
