Classy and hip. I’ve only been to One Trick pony a few times but they are very classy and have an awesome selection of beer, wine, mixed drinks and food! They have awesome local band performances as well!
AMAZING!. I just wanted to leave my feedback on the One Trick Pony. My wife and I went there for our anniversary and were so impressed by the entire evening. We went during there Thursday night acoustic concert event and the atmosphere was excellent. The food was very delicious and came out perfect. My wife also tried a couple of their martinis and really liked the Hula Loop. All of this would have been enough for me to leave a positive review, but truly blew my mind was when Lisa one of the owners came over and started to chat with us. She inquired as to why we had come to the restaurant. Once she found out it was our first time there and that it was our anniversary she was elated. She went and grab us two glasses of champange and paid for our dessert as well. She was so nice and excited to be part of our evening. That type of treatment will have me going back to the One Trick Pony over and over again.
The atmosphere is cozy, interesting and full of history. the menu is chock full of delectable decision-making queries! We ended up going with the Ahi Tunas Seak dinner and the Turkey Burger served on a pretzel bun. Both dinners were amazing. My favorite part of a meal is dessert tho, and this menu is to die for! We couldn’t decide which item to split so we each got one and shared them. First of all, all their desserts are homemade, except for the brownie one! We got the crem brle trio (chocolate with fresh raspberries, custard and amaretto) and the pineapple upside-down cake with homemade coconut gelato. Heaven. In. Your. Mouth.
Part of the Family. Being new to the area, I have been visiting all the restaurants in downtown GR and have yet to have been welcomed into an establishment like I was at One Trick Pony. Last thursday, a friend and myself decided to check this restaurant out…..not only was the food fantastic, but they had live jazz music going on and it was truly an entertaining and tasty experience. To top it off, the owners made me feel like I was one of their own. They overheard me asking about a dish and brought me a sample to try it, and then graciously topped off our experience by giving my guest and I a chocolate dessert wine to compliment our dessert we ordered. This is a great restaurant for all ages (I am in my late 20’s) !!! It was inviting, delicious, and entertaining…..I will definitley be going back on a regular basis. Thank you to Dan and Lisa for making me feel like I was a regular and that I was part of the family!
Me and my girlfriend went there around four after enjoying the day exploring downtown grand rapids. One trick pony is a very nice. We order the BBQ chicken pizza and a cup of soup to share and it was splendid and the bill only came to $12. I would recommend this place for a nice lunch or dinner out. They also have live romantic jazz music on Thursday’s and a full bar and plenty of beer on tap and an amazing wine list. We were too full for dessert which was very dissapointing but would go back to try it out.
