Probably our favorite place to go in the city. We usually go with a small group of friends and get about 6-8 small plates. The paella is on our list to try next though. You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. I’m a little sad because when we first started going here the bread was complimentary for the first loaf. Now you have to pay right off the start. It is good bread though and pretty cheap though so I recommend you still get it.

My favorite restaurant in G.R.. I’ve been to many restaurants in G.R., and I always go back to San Chez as my favorite. The service is typically excellent, the food is ALWAYS excellent, and the menu is changed enough that it never gets boring. It’s great for large groups; just make sure you figure out beforehand how you’re going to split the bill with all the tapas you’ll be ordering.
Love it. San Chez is one of our favorite restaurants in Grand Rapids. We have never had anything less than a great experience and the food is incredible. The sangria is delicious and the tapas style dining makes for a fun night out!
