Outstanding vegetarian option. Had wonderful English pea gnocchi (with morels instead of ramps!), baby beet salad, bread pudding (perfection). Excellent service, enjoyably high-falutin’ ambience, chic clientele. Had a great time and got good value for our money.

Very expensive. Very disappointing. A menu should make your mouth water with its description. This one leaves you puzzled. Touts using local food but then soaks the fish in so much oil that you loose the flavor of the fish. Plates way to big and portions way to small. Great visual presentation. Not much on taste. Stay at the hotel which is fabulous but dine elsewhere.

I’ll leave it at great sushi. On 1/17/2011 My husband and I came to Six One Six for lunch. We had the Tuna Tempura Rolls for an appetizer which were fantastic. They were as good as our favorite sushi place, Sensei in Hawaii. A high compliment. For lunch my husband ordered a rare burger that our server said would come out charred on the outside and rare on the inside. A favorite preparation of ours. The burger came out very over cooked with not a speck of pink inside. We never saw our waiter and finally another server came over to correct the situation. We really appreciated this seemless service. My husband decided to order another Tuna Tempura rather than chance another burger. Meanwhile I am trying to nurse my fried chicken salad waiting for his new order. The chicken was coated to perfection but the salad, chicken, and dressing were bland. We waited 15 minutes for the Tuna which never made an appearance. We asked to see the manager and she apologized. We waited five more minutes and decided to leave. On our way out the manager again apologized and said to give them another chance. I don’t think so. We enjoy George Aquino’s restaurant reviews but maybe he needs to step back into his own kitchen for another review.

Disappointed. Generally disappointing. Undersized, poorly executed and overpriced. Started w the hamachi, the serano peppers were so hot that even when removed, their juice totally over powered the fish, and everything else. there was supposedly yozu, but couldn’t taste any of it. I love spicy food, this was a waste of fish. Also had ordered the frisee and poached egg salad. for 12$, the whole salad was about a 1/2 cup portion. really? frisee is that expensive? also the goat cheese ravioli, which were really the size of tortellini. covered in a green bland oil which was supposed to be basil, and 3 chestnuts two of which were so hard that i would have broken a tooth had i actually tried to eat it. Highlight of the night, the truffle fries were amazing. and the cocktails fresh. Service was attentive, but the food was very disappointing.

Fabulous – service top notch, eclectic menu. We love six one six. Consistently good; try the flat breads, mussels and sushi as appetizers. Great view of the river. Amazing staff. Breakfast is great, ask Elvis to make you an omelet with locally sourced cheeses!
