Hello, used to work here! The wait staff is super friendly and customer oriented. The manager Fran is not. She will do anything to turn a profit. She also has NO regards to sanitation and health codes. One time a few weeks ago a customer had taken a coffee to go and returned about 5 minutes later (having drank some) and said she couldn’t take it in her car and asked us to throw it away. Fran did not want to waste the coffee and dumped it back into the pot of regular and served it to customers at tables. DISGUSTING. Another time I caught her bare unwashed hands in the ice bin filling her thermos cup. I also spotted her in the prep kitchen one time digging around in the kapusta and eating it with her bare hands. This was then served to customers. She would mix expired foods and sauces into new stuff to avoid waste. Any time she would jump into the line to help kitchen she would never wear gloves even though staff had repeatedly asked her to. They will never comp your meal if it’s messed up unless you get visibly angry about it. The owner and manager here bully their staff around and somehow get away with it. Servers are told to keep quiet about all this stuff and let management take care of it. This place is so poorly managed. Especially on the weekends. Fran will typically forget to write name’s on the wait list or assign a server to your table. Many customers will sit without service for 15 minutes or more. Do not spend your money here. Your food probably had Fran hands in it. Go to Real Food cafe or Wolfgangs.

I had 1st street with Franks kielbasa, ithat was the best sausage I have had in 40–50 years! Got the address of Franks before we left and will stop next time in GR. Half point off? Yea, I do prefer my toast with my eggs, got to have something to sop up the yoke from the start. In their defense, that is one busy place on Saturday morning. Try it, you’ll like it!
