When i went there the last time on a Sunday for brunch they said they had kid menu’s my waitress said they did not and i was not very happy my kids got no water and what they ordered never came our waitress charged us a extra $40 for her tip we talked to the manager and she said they would do nothing about it and kicked us out! how rude. so i suggest if you want to go somewhere for a sunday brunch go to mimi’s bistro.
Definitely a delicious dinner. We had the crab cakes, lake perch, lobster pasta and bake Alaska… Yummy! Definitely planning a second date to try out the two for $40 deal.
The Real Deal. After returning from a trip to New York, I took the back roads home from the airport. Hungry, I saw a quaint sidewalk sign advertising Jump so I stopped for dinner. Since I just dined at Thomas Colicchio’s, Mario Batali’s, and Jean Geoge’s, my standards had risen considerably and my taste buds were still on a high. To my delight, I was not disappointed at the menu and execution of the dishes. They were relevant to the clientele while challenging the cultural norms on The Hill and beyond. I must compliment Chef Sipley on putting food out there that is excellent and strong…he’s the real deal. I will take the back road home every time just to eat at Jumps.
Best in Grosse Pointe. Everything at Jumps is 5 star. The atmosphere, service and menu make it a go to place. But the food, both its’ taste and presentation, make it a place to return time after time.Once you find it you’ll never leave.
Better than ever. The move to new space placed new challenges on the owners. But they have risen to the occasion. The menu has expanded, they serve beer and wine, and they continue the excellent service which has characterized Jumps since it started in the small basement location.10 Feb, 2009Fantastic food and service. Jumps has a rather undistinguished location — at least until it makes a planned move — in the basement of an office building. But the food and service more than make up for the location. The breakfasts are terrific. A popular speciality is a puff pancake topped with berries. But if it is not on the menu, they will make it for you. Lunch and dinner have tremendous variety prepared by talented chefs. Can’t beat it; and, for the price, it is extraordinary bargain.
Oasis in Preppyville. It’s an old stereotype — preppies think caring too much about food is somehow, oh, *ethnic* — and maybe not even true, but it’s something I think of whenever I consider the meager restaurant offerings, at all price ranges, in the preppy Pointes, tolerated and even celebrated by the locals, all of whom must have had their taste buds Botox’d into numbness. Jumps is a glorious exception, serving great, delicious food for a very fair price. The recent renovation finally gives this gem a suitable setting. You won’t go wrong, at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Jumps has great breakfast foods i also like the way they re-did it.
