Morning glory. Situated on the hill in Grosse Pointe Farms, you will find an adorable spot where you can grab a coffee, delicious breakfast, lunch, pastry or dessert and pop in for a specialty cocktail at happy hour! Morning Glory Coffee & Pastries can quickly become your go-to coffee shop and place to grab a glass of wine after work. I love when you can find a place that meets all your eating & drinking needs! We were there for lunch and tried a few different sandwiches (Club $8, Mediterranean Wrap $8, Turkey Rueben $7.25) as well as soup ($5). Everything is made in house, including the bread, and has that fresh taste we all look for. If you want to pair your meal with a drink, a glass of wine ranges from $5.50-$7.50 while a Specialty Drink is around $7-$8.Morning Glorys European flare is inviting from the curb. Once you walk in, you can quickly order at the counter and have them bring your food to the table or grab it to go. I personally loved sitting on the patio which is closed in once the cold weather comes. It has a wonderful feel to it with red metal tables and a cozy fireplace; the kind of place you could spend hours chatting away.Morning Glory has a full bakery upstairs where they have perfected the art of custom cakes and amazing pastries. We couldnt decide on which one to try so we tried a number of things. I have to admit the cannoli was the best I have had… chocolate chips not only on the ends, but through the entire thing. Make sure you check out the incredible display cakes placed throughout the caf.

The pastries taste like dirt and water, and the coffee is subpar. However, the atmosphere is absolutely adorable and they’re very friendly so I often do find myself wasting my money on a bad tasting pastry to enjoy the shoppe

Great spot for coffee, treats or lunch.. A friend of mine recently moved to the GPW area and we went to Morning Glory for a girly lunch to catch up. It ended up being the perfect spot. The decor is cozy and on that drizzly fall morning, a hot drink and friendly service was just what I needed. I had a chai tea latte that was perfect! Not too sweet and delicious. My friend had the chicken caesar salad and I had the chicken pita. We both loved our lunch. Then we HAD to go back and pick something out from the huge selection of dessert, so I chose a chocolate cookie and my friend chose a yellow cupcake. We also each had the cutest Halloween decorated sugar cookies. Everything was just so good! The staff was really sweet to us, too. My friend wasn’t expecting roasted red peppers on her salad (she’s pretty picky) and the young man who served it quickly picked it up and got her a new salad. We might have to make our girly lunch at Morning Glory a new tradition!
