OverRated. Very Disappointed, service was bad ,food was disappointing shrimp over cooked chicken was dry .wait staff too interested with each other than customers. Did not have proper silverware had to ask for plates will not return.
Hello NEW BLI!!!. Now that the previous regime has been ousted and the Gilmore Collection has taken over – this place is fantastic again! The food is delicious, the Saturday $5 burger/beer special is the best i’ve seen in town – what a huge burger!! The truffle fries are a must-try.
Now that the Gilmore Group has taken over this place, I have to say you foodies need to ignore my old review because this place is perfection now. It was an excrement sandwich before Gilmore and company took over. I live walking distance from this place and like the other Gilmore restaurants such as Blue Water and Flat River Grille, you’re talking four star cuisine no matter what you order. Not to be negative, but the people who ran this place before weren’t qualified to make dog food. I used to laugh and call Stavros and the old Bostwick Lake Inn the Bermuda Triangle of disgusting cuisine in Rockford because they are directly next door to each other. Now, the only one to avoid is Stavros. Thank you to the Gilmore Group for giving me a great restaurant right in my back yard.
I worked there for a summer and I can tell from experience they run a tight ship. They do what they can to make the dining experience pleasant. The deck is awesome in the summer as well.
