Been here a few times now and it’s decent enough. Pad Thai tends to be heavy on the Tamarind giving it a more sour/tart taste than most. I’m not a fan of the use of tiny shrimp, either. Edible, but just misses the mark. The Crab Rangoons are really good with lots of crab and green onion. I’m not an expert on Pho, but it seemed ok. Definitely large portion. The Pad Ped has a nice flavor and was a fair size.
Love their vermicelli with shrimp, pork, and spring rolls. Sweet, savory, and spicy, with fresh veg and cilantro. I usually get it as take-out after work and it still is perfect after my half hour commute home.
World-class Pho. Asia’s Finest can be good and bad. On the good side, the Pho is almost always authentic and perfect. A hot bowl of soup is served with a heaping portion of stir-in veggies and sauces and meat and it’s just wonderful. The rest of their food can be pretty great, but it depends who’s working. I’ve had off days where simple dishes tasted awful, and good days when anything on the menu was stellar. If they could get their quality more consistent, I’d recommend them more highly, but the Pho has never disappointed.
Pho Fix. If that bowl of delicious warmth is calling your name, Asia’s Finest is where you need to go. I have eaten one too many pho in my lifetime to say this is the best pho but in no way is it bad. Pho hunters, I understand the journey for that flavorful broth and perfect noodle to meat ratio, but Lansing does not harbor many Vietnamese restaurants. This place will probably be your best bet and good enough to satisfy that desperate craving.
Standard on-the-go Thai. I was passing through Lansing and Asia’s Finest had a pretty good rating. The seems like the chicken was frozen/reaheated. I liked it. Nothing special.
I love the food here so much! Service is often good, I don’t eat here a lot in person, so can’t judge much. Although, last night was a big bummer; I ordered Pho Tai Chin to go and I got an extra large, the guy that tool my order asked for my name over the phone then when my boyfriend and I picked it up, we had to wait 10 mins because someone said I never gave a name then a few mins later they asked what I ordered. When I came home they gave me a bag full or raw beef that was bloody, thank god I was at home to cook it. I know it’s carry out but I prepared some of my food, which defeats the purpose of to go. I love this place just for the food but the service is not well delivered by the employees.
Vietnamese is on point. I usually get turned off by restaurants offering to many types.I have not had the chinese so i cannot comment on that. The red thai curry was delicious, the pad thai was to sweet. We usually go here for Vietnamese since there is no other vietnamese restaurant in the area. The pho, egg noodles, verm salads, rice platters, bun bo hue and spring rolls never dissapoint.I wish they served banh mi or pate chaud.Having tried viet cuisine all over the united states I find that the prices are a 1.00 or 2.00 higher than most other vietnamese spots but they don’t have any competition.I know the chicken finger spot on the other side of bosten market is up for lease another vietnamese spot at that location would be great to keep the competition and prices down.
