All the reviews about General Tso’s are dead on. DE-LICIOUS. period.03 Jun, 2012Get the S6. Enough said. Dragon and Phoenix combo is all you need to try on the menu.
Best I have had in the area!. I ordered a medley of entrees to feed some friends/fam and have some options, EVERYTHING was great! The steamed dumplings were amazing, way better then anything else I have had in East Lansing area!
I came to Chen’s because folks have been talking about this hole in the wall restaurant and raving about their General Tso’s chicken. I ordered the dish and indeed the dish was delicious! I chicken was juicy and crunchy and flavored deeply with a sauce that is neither too sweet nor too salty—umami fest in my mouth. The shredded beef was flavored by a light touch of soy and this allowed for other ingredients to shine. The decor is a bit dated and at one point I was expecting Guns and Roses to come out—big hair and all. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a romantic evening but if you want to impress your friends on your food finds, this is the place to be. I paid 20 dollars for three lunch dishes including tip. Who knew inexpensive restaurants can still deliver great food. The service was fast and friendly. Go to Chen’s for lunch and taste it for yourself. Eat on playaz.
Best Chinese in Town. Great and Fast Service, Really cheap lunches and there General Tao Chicken is the best in town. It is a little rough on the on the outside, but dives are like that.
Can’t get enough!. I absolutely love Chen’s and tell everyone I know to go! The owner, Jason, and his family are the greatest staff. Always friendly and they’ve basically memorized my order! The food is always fresh and hot, and they never disappoint on the portions (at least one more meal). Make sure to ask for the homemade spicy mustard if you’re a spicy food person! So incredible every time.
Chens has the best crab Rangoon and general tsos in Lansing!! I can’t get enough of this place!! Very tasty food for not a lot of money. If you like Chinese, you’ll love chens!
Great food/Great service. The food is always fresh, full of flavor, and helpings are generous! Sometimes the dining-in can get crowded at lunch (seems the word is out), but the family-owners really work to make sure everyone is happy.I come here for lunch 1-2 times weekly.
