Terrible, just ordered delivery from China Garden tonight, we are new to this part of town, spent almost $65 total. Delivery was 20 minutes past said time, the Buddha’s Delight was not packed properly and All it’s sauce dumped down over everything in the bag being it was packed on top. The 8 spring rolls were soaked, no sauce for spring rolls included either. I tried to roll with punches, make the best of it and proceed to eat, kids to get to bed and all, but the Thai Noodles were over sauced and nasty. I called to get reparations and was told I would get no concessions or refunds of any kind. They even tried to blame my 11 boy who without taking one step handed off the bag from the driver to me. I am just in awe that they would be so unapologetic and tried to resort to blaming a kid for their mistakes. I will never be a customer of China Garden again.

Terrible Food. I was compelled to write a review to save others from my misfortune of deciding to venture out on delivery from this establishment. The best part was that the person who took my order was very courteous on the phone and my food arrived promptly-nice and hot. After that, it all went downhill quickly. The egg rolls taste only of grease. I love egg rolls and of course they are fried and can be greasy but these literally had no taste BUT that of the grease. The wonton soup noodles were too thick and gummy, and tasteless. The broth was cloudy and didn’t have that signature light, delicious taste that is wonton broth. The sweet and sour chicken was so heavily breaded (and light on chicken) that it was like eating corn dogs minus the hot dog. The sweet and sour chicken did not come with any vegetables or pineapple. The sour was lacking in texture and flavor. I’ve had much better out of a bottle of LaChoy brand sweet and sour sauce which really isn’t saying much. The chicken fried rice consisted of greasy rice and chicken with bean sprouts and scallions. Nothing to write home about but the most palatable out of everything that we ordered. I will never order food from here again.

A nice fast-food place. This is exactly the sort of spot that I always craved when I was in college. Truth be told, the food is often soggy from being drenched in sauce, and everything is very oily, but it’s a cheap and fast place when you just want a quick fix for your sweet and sour cravings. And personally, I just order extra Fried Noodles ($.50) and let them soak in the sauce to make an extra meal.

Best dumplings in Lansing. China Garden has been my favorite Chinese take out place for years. The family that owns it is incredibly nice, their cooks are fast and efficient, everything is affordable and the food is always delicious. They have the BEST dumplings in Lansing; handmade, juicy and very tasty. It’s a great little locally-owned place that is cheap and fast. They also have a small lunch buffet that’s good as well.
