An Unassuming Diamond. Don’t let the building fool you; this place has GREAT food! I know many of my friends have just driven by because the building is a bit……okay, it looks bad. But I braved the odd environment one night and took a leap of faith. I can honestly say that this is my favorite place to eat in my neighborhood. Amazing food, friendly staff, and decent prices. 10/10

I had forgotten about this place. Until I read a recent pair of reviews in Lansing City Pulse.I hadn’t eaten here in close to 30 years. What a mistake on my part. This is far and away the best Chinese restaurant in Lansing, and the same chef and family have been running it all this time. Like the others said, don’t let the peeling wallpaper and half-finished repairs put you off. The food is outstanding, and nothing like the over-sauced, over-sweet, over-salted, gloppy stuff that passes for Chinese food elsewhere around here. Huapei Chicken is great. Sweet & Sour Pork is nothing like the bright orange crap you get elsewhere. Egg rolls are great. I’ll be back….and I won’t be waiting another 30 years before I do it again. This is a forgotten jewel that deserves to be recognized as one of the best restaurants in Lansing. Seriously.

Amazing!!!!. Aesthetically the place is a dive BUT DO NOT let this sway your taste buds. The food was outrageously good and we have been searching for truly great Chinese for some time. The wall paper is peeling and the furniture old but it was clean. The food was all fresh, and extraordinary. I am so picky its really difficult to be happy with less than stellar food. I don’t care if the place is a dive, food truck or a tool shed…the food is the best we’ve had in years. We had their specialty Huapei chicken, mu shu beef, Korean style beef (bulgogi) , hot sour soup, egg flour soup, tea and Rangoon.

Always great, always fresh. Don’t let the rundown ambience scare you. Recommend the crab rangoons.

The food is very good. Our service was excellent. We were there on a Friday night around 8 and we were seated right away. Had crab rangoons as an appetizer and they were fairly quick and excellent. Generous portion. My wife ordered Huapei chicken and I ordered Kung Pao chicken. They were both very good, but Kung Pao was better and hotter. If yu really want spicy, might want to ask them to spicen up the Huapei. All in all food was very good. The water needed more ice, but they did a good job of keeping the glass full. The atmosphere is not good. I think I was dripped on from the leaky ceiling. So as long as you’re okay with the hole-in-the-wall ambiance, there’s a good chance you’ll really enjoy this place. As for myself, I’ll definitely plan to go back, and this may become one of my go-to asian restaurants.

Just to be clear, they do not offer Dim Sum.
