Thought I would try this restaurant because it is just down the road from where I work. Upon entering the staff seemed nice but and a big but the food sucked. No wonder it is cheap it is not the best cut of meatvery chewy and the sides were horrible.
Where do I start it was not my kind of barbecue very Chewy and cold. Sides were not good either. Will never waste my money again or drive out of my way. Bathroom was not clean and there was food on the floor.
What happened?. No ice in the pop machine? Hot sauce all over the counters? Minimal staff too busy to clean tables? Overcooked macaroni and tasteless cheese? How is it even the coleslaw was tasteless? Half of the meat was fat. Not to mention the counter so dirty with hot sauce I got it all over my tray which proceeded to get all over my white shirt after the tray touched my coat. Not happy with trying to wash up without paper towels in the bathroom. Not to mention I hope my shirt isn’t ruined.I’m not sure what happened, we came before and things had flavor. Today, everything was wrong, and what a filthy mess. For 12:30, just a bit too messy of a restaurant when you had only been open a few hours. No ice? I feel like I wasted my money and I will not be returning again. Sorry it had to end this way.PS: Work on the warmers; they are not working on your food. Perhaps you should read the food code on hot food storage? Take a serve safe class.
Great food and value. I have eaten here many times and have almost always gotten top notch BBQ. The one time I didn’t the manager asked me about my meal, the next time i was in, I told him it was a little dried out last time, he immediately got me new food and said next time let him know immediately. I love how much attention they pay to their meal quality.
What did I just eat??. I’ve only read good reviews about this place. I was craving bbq so here I am.. I looked at the flank sandwich (OMG so juicy!) they were serving and it raised my crave awareness level! I decided to get a rib dinner and thought that they couldn’t go wrong with that right? It’s a classic! Welp, my assumptions were wrong. To start off, the potato salad was good. But, it went down hill from there: Mac and cheese? pfft.. they should call it boiled macaroni with a pinch of cheese. Now, on to the entre. I’ve had a lot of bbq in my life; that was beyond BBQ. Smoked is suppose to be a flavor, not the whole danm rib. It was charred beyond meat recognition. People talk about meat is suppose to be tender and fall off the meat but it seemed like it was superglue on there for texture. Either I have to try it again, or a different dish. If I ever come back…
Best Ribs. My wife and I both agree that they have the best ribs we’ve ever tasted. The half rack had more meat than most places full racks. I haven’t had ribs with dry rub in place of BBQ sauce before, but I loved it. The brisket and chopped beef were also amazing, although we added a little bit of BBQ sauce for some extra flavor. I don’t think it needed it, but I’m still breaking out of my habit of putting BBQ on anything grilled.We will definitely go back and we wish we hadn’t waited so long to try it.
Outstanding! Everything tasted great (especially the chicken). Staff was really helpful.
