Great food & friendly staff make this one of the best places to eat when in Lansing. Best prime rib in town, wish it was served everyday instead of Fridays & Saturdays only.

It looked good. But it wasn’t. Ordered 3 pizzas that were supposed to be Chicago style and they were just bland. I’m comparing it to real CHicago style pizza so maybe that’s not fair, but if they’re willing to market it as such, they need the feedback.

First of all, the staff was wonderful. They were attentive and polite. This was the ONLY positive aspect of eating here. To summarize: everything we ate was really awful. The quality of the ingredients was very low, things seemed old, and the portions were huge based on the price (which is also an indication of low quality). We will not be going back.

Solid family eats. Lansing has a number of restaurants that do the pizza, drinks, varied family-oriented menu thing. I wouldn’t say Piazzano’s does it best, but they definitely do a lot of things right. Pasta comes out perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce, for example. Their pizza is excellent if you don’t mind an overabundance of cheese. My wife and I are especially fond of their appetizer rolls, which are basically fried tortilla rolls filled with either pizza fixins, corned beef, or spinach dip. Their burgers are only just OK. TVs are at good sight angles and are usually tuned to whatever sporting event the locals are interested in. Price scale is moderate: below Deluca’s, slightly higher than Falsetta’s. If you’re in the area between the airport and Old Town, I’d certainly give Piazzano’s a try.

The pizza is the best I’ve had in Lansing (sorry DeLuca’s) and the staff are very accommodating. if pizza isn’t your thing, try the battered fish.
