This place wasn’t the worst Mexican food I have ever had, but it was no where near the best, or even just good enough. I was sad to read that this was one of the highest rated Mexican places. The salsa was pureed mush rather than fresh and chunky, and how do you make even the rice and beans suck? I’m not sure, but they managed to do so.
We enjoyed our meal. Service was great very fast. Queso was authentic white queso. I had a delicious chimichanga. My wife had enchiladas with green sauce- it was smoky with a bite at the end. Yummy highly recommend.
5 out of 5 stars. It’s nice to have authentic Mexican without having to drive downtown Detroit to Mexicantown. The staff are hard-working, super-friendly and the service is top-notch. The food comes out quickly, correctly, fresh and hot. I am forever using a coupon and 3 of us can enjoy dinner for right around $25. There are LOTS of combination plates in the combo plates section of the menu, but don’t overlook those listed under Dinner, Specialties, OR the monthly specials on the table tent promo. I’ve found I can get even more of a value there as well and try something that’s just being offered for a limited time. I once got a fajita-type dish with mango and fried plantains that I would not have normally ordered. VERY good! Los Tres Amigos is a regular choice for us!
We gohere often. Really fresh, delicious dishes. Great variety and the the pico de gallo is to die for. Try the fajita burrito topped with cheese sauce and add some pico, yum.
Wife is from Texas & she’s a huge fan. Very prompt service & great food
