Casa has good Italian-style food and a nice atmosphere though my wife said it is a bit crowded. They are well known for their heart attack-butter ladened garlic bread. They are really good. My son had the petit filet steak (med-rare) and said it was excellent. My wife and daughter had the three cheese stuffed shell pasta and loved it. The Casa has a good selection of pasta dishes. Unfortunately, they raised their prices and I feel it is a bit overpriced.
Terrible Food, except the soup…so go there if you want soup?. I went there a couple months back, we heard from different people that it was great italian food so we gave it a shot, big mistake. The soups that came were really good, like excellent. However our pasta dishes were terrible, mine especially so.They served my manicottii or stuffed shells w/e their version is, in a large white ceramic dish, literally swimming in greasy red sauce, and protected by an obnoxiously thick layer of low quality and equally greasy mozzarella that barely left melted plastic consistency.I might have been able to get over the amount of sauce if it was actually good, it wasn’t.In short instead of a pasta dish I was served some kind of horrible pasta soup with terrible garlic bread that reminded me of the frozen stuff…Fazoli’s puts out better food than this.
Lasagna with Meat Sauce. I had dinner there on the night of 1/13/2015 for the first time with a small group of coworkers. I thought since it’s claim to fame is that it’s an Italian Restaurant I would try the Signature Lasagna with meat sauce and add a large sausage to it. Thank God I added the sausage, it came on the side and was OK. The Lasagna however was tomato soup with Lasagna noodles in a 6x6x2 casserole dish topped with a half inch of melted mozzarella. Come on, you can buy frozen lasagna in the grocery store that has 100 times the flavor…..and even some visible meat. The local Mama Rossa is a fine example. I ate about 15% of the Lasagna before I gave up on it. I didn’t ask to have it comp’d because is was prepared ok, just cheap recipe. I doubt I will ever eat there again.
Price increase and less Bread. Price increase of at least 15% on dinners. Waiter kept telling us only 1 piece of bread each – funny the Lobster Ravioli is now $25 plus and you cheap out on the bread! Tables are way to small to be comfortable. Ambience is absent, replace broken faucets in Men’a room! Also the reduced the size of your glass so you will need 3 refills but you wil have to wait. Simply put Not Worth my Time and Money!
Where’s the veal?. Menu… Veal Scallopini… Tender pieces of veal simmered in a mild red sauceDefinition of Scallopini: sauteed cutlets (usually veal or poultry) that have been pounded thin and coated with flour. What we got?Cubes if Pasty or Stew meat tasting like roast beef in tomato soup.you think I’m kidding? I dare anyone who has actually traveled out from under a rock and eaten even at the worst Italian places the world has to challenge me.simply awful, overpriced, Ditty Moore quality meat and Chef BoyArdee Quality sauce. They comped it and the other food although subjective and far overpriced was average at best. the garlic bread was a huge plus… the rest left me scratching my head and chalking it up to a I’ll never recommend it nor go back… even if someone else is paying.
Next to Chipotle, Carabas and Chick Fil A….. This is the most overrated restaurant maybe anywhere.
My boyfriend and I are from town and have gone here a handful of times. It has always left quite a bit to be desired, but this past weekend they hit an all time low for us. My boyfriends got the veal scallopini for $16. We expected something decent for that price. Boy were we wrong. We should have known something was wrong when the waitress asked if he wanted a side of pasta. He said why not, what’s an extra $4. She asked if he wanted to have the scallopini sauce or red sauce on it. He chose for their red sauce. When his dish got out it was literally a bowl full of red sauce with about 5 pieces of stew meat sized chunks of this mysterious gray meat. Not being one to leave food on his plate he tried to eat it. Well by the time he was able to fish out the few pieces of meat he was left with about 2 solid cups of just red sauce. We both tried dipping or butter laden garlic bread in the sauce to try and use it up as not to waste so much. Even after our efforts we were left with a cup of sauce. I feel as though we wasted so much money on this dish to be served with just a pot of sauce. Portions are way off in size and prices are high and quality is low. I don’t know that we will be coming back after this one.
