Had the Italian Beef sandwich. Was pretty good over all, but I would liked to have seen just a little more meat and would have preferred a side of Au Jus to dip in, instep of already on the sandwich. Very good flavor, though.
NY Deli saved me today. I was feeling shaky and weak and needed food immediately (I’m not joking here). Most restaurants require $25 min for delivery– including this one. But after I explained that I was ill, NY Deli kindly agreed to deliver my corned beef sandwich and Jewish penicillin (chx noodle soup). Two other restaurants in town refused to- and I understand that’s their policy. But this is the kind of above-and-beyond service that’s makes a difference. I loved that the soup wasn’t salty like restaurant soups can be. And my sandwich was just right. Cheers.
Not the friendliest or tastiest…. I’m not a big fan of the NY Deli, and I’ve been there probably 10 times because my wife loves the tomato basil cream soup. Unfortunately, I have yet to really have a very good experience there. The staff has been rude at times, and other times overly nice. The food has been OK, and other times downright something I won’t eat. And it’s a shame because I really, really WANT to like this little location. I just can’t. In the end, I only stop there to get my wife her soup. I don’t leave any extra cash behind for this less-than-satisfying restaurant.
Overpriced. Nothing against the food per se, but wow is it overpriced! For mediocre food, not a place I’m willing to visit again.
