Have given this place a chance more than 3 times and every time I vowed never to return. Bad service. Good beer selection if u can bear the service.
Yummy. I had the french onion soup and it was amazing! I also had the french dip and I loved the flavor of the rosemary that is added to the au jus. The atmosphere is relaxing. I will be going back!
Ever since new owners took over service and food have went in a landslide…. with all of the opportunities in Marquette to get food elsewhere I would highly recommend trying someone elsethis restaurant no longer lives up to its potential
Inconsistent Food Prep. I ate at The Portside Inn a few weeks ago. I ordered the Veggie Pizza. It was the best pizza I had ever eaten! It was loaded with giant chunks of artichoke hearts, mushrooms, tomatoes, and broccoli florets. I raved to everyone who would listen. I then decided to return for that magnificent pizza. However, I was extremely disappointed this time. I heard there was a new cook in the kitchen and it showed. The crust was thin and soggy not thick and chewy as before. The vegetables were barely visible! Due to this inconsistency I wont be back for this once favorite meal. If I could take back my recommendations about this pizza I would.

I’m always up in the air about this restaurant. On one hand the have a fantastic Michigan beer selection, te best holy hour special in town ($2 drafts), and the atmosphere is great inside and out. On the other hand the food is pretty miserable with a small exception for the pizza. The breadsticks everyone raves about taste like they’re out of the freezer section of a restaurant supply company and that goes for most of the other selections as well. The pizza is ok and is honestly the only thing I can recommend. Go there for drinks and and the atmosphere, get dinner someplace else.
Great burger!! Wonderful service!
