Since 1997, Atwater Brewery has been brewing delicious beer, right here in Detroit. Their beer is refreshing, unique, and always brewed to perfection. You can find it at the local grocery or at a restaurant, but my favorite place to get a Dirty Blonde is at the brewery itself.A pint will cost you a measly $4, making it easy to drink a few. If you use Groupon or Living Social, you might get lucky and stumble upon an Atwater deal which for us was $6 and included a guided brewery tour, tasting of 5 beers, and a pint glass to take home. Such a deal. The best part about Atwater is that you are fully immersed in the process while you sit back and sip your brew of choice. There are a couple long tables and a bar surrounded by all the goods that make a brewery a brewery… barrels, equipment, bottles, kegs, guys brewing, and of course the smell of fine beer being brewed. The Tap Room (which is right in the brewery) is a great place to visit with a group of friends, before or after a game, or to grab a quick pint or two before you head to dinner. The staff is always really friendly which also adds to the experience.

Great beer. Been here a couple of times before hockey games. The Apps are not bad, but the beer is the real reason to go here. If you like really good craft brews, this place is pretty damn good. Many selections to choose from. Deffinitely a place to go if you are a hophead.
Two of us stopped by for a quick bite on a Saturday evening. The service was terrible and slow. I ordered a ruben and an app. After 29 minutes had to remind them about the app. Then they came out with a turkey sandwich which I returned. After another 20 minutes I was told they had no more cornedbeef. Avoid this place for anything other than a beer.
