Excellent place. Gets crowdy during the weekends. Has the typical bakery aroma of baked goods with innumerable varieties of bread, cakes, muffins and coffee and other beverages. The ambience is of that an old Irish pub which adds to its grace. They serve different varieties of jam and so many many other desserts. Fresh cookies and cakes are always available. Then they sell merchandise which is very cool too. A highly underrated must visit cafe in Detroit. The big brother of this Avalon cafe is the bakery in downtown Detroit in front of the Campus Martius QLine stop.
