Im from Ontario, and stopped in during car show. This place offers mainly microbrewery beers, so it seems. Its an interesting pub, nothing high end but worth stopping in. Food was really good. Surprised that prices were higher than what were normally used to when travelling thru the US. Still, Id go back if Im in the area again.
This spot is a must visit, I’ve been eating here since I was a boy and it was called Foran’s Pub and I still love it. This place is classic Detroit, great food (the Foran Burger is my favorite choice) great beer selection and all in an beautifully maintained historic space that screams Detroit.
Very cool atmosphere, good food, and good drinks. I would recommend for a time out with friends, especially before a Wings or a Tigers game!
Had a lovely meal here. A great Crazy Salad. Grilled chicken, avocado, cheese, cucumber, tomato, red peppers, good lettuce. Nice salad. Ate inside, but the weather was so nice we could have sat outside on those seats out there. Pretty great that these places are available downtown these days. Detroit is coming back!
What a great atmosphere, an interesting menu, and good drinks. The architecture here is amazing, that much is not open for debate. The food was delish!! My party of 7 had a variety of things; Lobster omelette, french toast, the Belle Isle, and the wife had a BLT, and I had the GTP Rueben. I wouldn’t say it was the best rueben but it was good. The wife’s BLT was yummy and everybody else said their food was awesome. I big time suggest this place!
Hope you have a few hours. It took 20 minutes to get a beer and another 50 minutes to get a meal. Unbelievably bad service. The tea was putrid, so we asked for a soda. The soda never came. 7 meals finally arrived, but the 8th meal took another 10 minutes. Just don’t go. Don’t go!
Very cool spot with some well crafted food. I was a little bummed that the Rock ‘N’ rye Pulled Pork sandwich wasn’t available because the pork was being used to make the Cubano Sandwiches (special of the day). Beer list was respectable and staff was pretty friendly. I will say that perhaps a little more attention needs to be paid to upkeep, though. Cleanliness was definitely lacking and the bar top has seen MUCH better days. The laminate top is peeling off (leaving nooks and crannies for grossness to accumulate), and when I leaned forward on it a little the whole top of the bar damned near came off. So, worth a visit, but maybe sit at a table. 🙂
