This Classic decades old Downtown favorite plates up some of the best Ham around town along with fabulous Chicken n Waffles and me favorite be Catfish and Eggs with a big O bowl of Grits. Located on Monroe as you enter the Greek Town block this very busy place really has great service and many super sandwiches, Soups n Salads to fill da belly. They have runners delivering that hot delicious food for many blocks around. Get your Catfish crave on right here folks it’s battered and cooked to perfection. albeerpoe.blogspot.com
Best Diner Downtown. The food here is amazing and freshly prepared everyday. The pancakes are made from real buttermilk. The boasted chicken is to die for. I eat here almost everyday because I work in the area.. The prices are reasonable and you get a ton of food as well.
Nice Surprise. Looked up this little diner and decided to pay a visit for breakfast. The food was good, home style cooking, service was friendly and efficient, quality/quantity for price was excellent. If your from out of town looking for a little local flavor I highly recommend that you check it out.
The breakfasts were, cheap, huge, and delicious. The staff was great fun.
Great Value. We ate there yesterday!! Great, huge breakfasts! My wife’s was less than 5 bucks and mine was $6. They were busy, apparently they deliver to all the nearby hotels for a $1 but the service was excellent. Great teamwork to make sure everyone got good service. Going back….
Really Big Breakfast. I looked up the Ham Shoppe and went over for breakfast and tried their breakfast special. Now that is alot of food! Good pancakes too! Good service and atmosphere – and best of all – great prices! Definately a place will visit again if in Detroit!
GreekTown Ham Spot with Great Soul Food. Just when you thing you’ve seen it all The Ham Shoppe which has been plating up great jumbo ham breakfast and sandwich’s has now added great Soul foods. I had the Chicken and Waffles along with the Catfish and Eggs with Grits and let me say it was super good and I’ll be back for more really soon.
