Poor service and bad food. Let me start by saying, its Mother’s day and I was hoping to have a great brunch and enjoy some good food. I was sadly disappointed in the service and food. The brunch menu was poor and the selection was Kroger-like pastries, cold fish and hard pancakes. They where always out of something. Waitress would bring us things only after being asked. Ordered coffee, she forgot to bring cream, sugar and brought one spoon when three people ordered coffee. Really! Overall, service was poor and food bad. I will never return.

Bad experience at Majestic Cafe. Arrived on time for our 6:30 reservation, tickets for 8 at Orchestra Hall across the street. Not too busy. Very flustered waitress took our order, then we waited 40 minutes for one beer and a glass of wine. Ordered just a salad and app to share, that’s it, but no food by 7:45. Gave up and asked to just pay for drinks, even that was really difficult, that waitress kept nodding and running off, not to reappear for long periods of time. Other tables with other waitstaff did get food…We asked to speak to the manager but was told he was too busy. Just a trainwreck.

Incredible Mother’s Day Brunch. This place is a gem for good food in a laid back pleasant atmosphere for MD brunch. At $23 or so per person, this is a bargain for the carved roast beef, potato encrusted fish as well as the smoked fish and the pastries, pancakes, omlettes, etc.Fantastic! I’ll be back for more meals at the Majestic!

I got the burger. Acceptable. Old fashioneds are Acceptable as well. Parking on Woodward? Make SURE. You pay the meter. (I’m pretty sure those Woodward tickets are the only income D is getting.)

Great business meeting lunch spot thanks to varied menu, central location and large off street parking lot behind the building (access from Alexandrine St).

I got the Kafta burger, $6.95, lamb hummous tomatoes, romaine wrapped in pita. It was mediocre , at best. The service was wonderful but the food was lacking. I did enjoy the yam fries, however.
