Had a nice lunch experience here. I ordered two different rolls which were huge and delicious. The place filled up quickly so service slowed down quite a bit. My friend and I ordered at the same time but I received my two rolls at least 15-20 minutes before she received the small roll that she ordered. The waitress apologized for the delay but still, we ordered at the same time so I don’t know if the waitress forgot about it, put the order in later, or what. So keep that in mind if you’re on a time limit for lunch. Other than that we both enjoyed ourselves.
The food is mediocre at best. The staff does not make you feel welcome and they seem to not be happy that they are there. The place is filthy – carpets worn and dirty, you have to walk past cleaning supplies, dirty piles of junk to get to bathroom – a dirty, not working, sloppy grotto greats you in the lobby – everything is dusty and the furniture looks like it hasn’t been touched in 30 years. I think because of the convenient location this restaurant continues to get business and that it counts on that, rather than providing a clean, pleasant atmosphere and food that you would want to come back for. With all the exceptional new restaurants opening in Detroit, I hope someone takes this over and makes it a great Thai restaurant – the owners should be ashamed albeerpoe.blogspot.com
Best Thai food in Michigan. I took the Lady here for Valentines Day before Lion King: The Musical and I have to say I was impressed. Everyone there seemed to be Vietnamese or Southeastern Asian (us Gooks have a good eye for the variations) and the food was authentic. I ordered the hottest spice they had in some mediocre attempt in impressing my girlfriend, which only ended in my blood running red and my forehead running with sweat.
Great food, amazing variety of both Thai and Japanese! I love how I can get a Thai basil fried rice as well as a spider roll as an app! Best Asian restaurant in the metro Detroit area. Cool spot man!
Best Thai in Area. Im surprised that this place doesnt have more reviews! It’s right in the heart of Eastern Market. Which is wierd for it to be in a American style community market, worked into an old Fire station, accompanied by a sushi bar, but the best thai food ive probably ever had.Every dish here is a winner. Pad thai to Salads, to currys.Although, it has a japanese sushi bar in the restaurant- the thai food is authentic. I usually order, The thai tea. A california roll ( I cant help it- they do it good here)Tofu Tod ( Fried tofu with this amazing sweet peanuty sauce)A bowl of either Tom Yum or Tom KhaAnd for entree- Either the Chicken Larb Pad Thai or #1 #2 #7You have to try it.- Oh! Before I forget, Never go alone! All ths is enought o share with someone. Great affordable date night.
Am a crazy thai food freak.. Been to close to 400 thai restaurants in the last 4 yrs..no kidding! N this place definitely ranks in the top 5 n ofcourse the best in the Detroit area!
