This place has a great atmosphere and is very cozy for a date night out. The menu has a lot of interesting options and changes frequently to match seasonal offerings. Unfortunately for Selden, the city is filled with amazing Tapas places that are just better. It’s pretty expensive and other places are better – so three stars. A lot of people do like it though, so might just be my personal bias. For the money, I’d rather go to Wright&Co or Republic.
I have had dozens of lunches and dinners at Selfen Standard and have never once been disappointed. While the lunch menu is slightly limited, there are always several tantalizing seasonal options. Perfect lunch portions packed with flavor. When they offer scallops, order them! Dinner at Selfen is an extraordinary experience. Our favorite way to enjoy is to start with a party of four and share items from all over the menu. The robust dinner offerings make this a memorable experience. Always great service, attention to detail and wonderful food! Sellden Standard has led a positive foodie revolution in Detroit!
