PRICE WENT UP QUALITY WENT DOWN.. Slows always served the freshest salad in the City… as far as I was concerned! But.. something has changed… they no longer use the fresh red/green lettuce they use to… now it is withered ice berg… the last two salad’s I have purchased have been just God awful! They raised their prices, but it is my feeling that you get what you pay for, so paying a little extra, for what I had come to know as a first class salad… no problem! I’ll be darn… the quality went way down… and the price went up! AFTER TWO YEARS… I’M DONE!
Just Okay. So for a quick bite to eat I decide to check out Slows To Go. Cute concept. I ordered the BBQ chicken wings, Mac n cheese with waffle fries. I paired it with the apple BBQ sauce. Here’s the thing. Seeing that’s the 4th just passed, I think my senses are pretty keen on this whole BBQ thing. To me the chicken had the artificial BBQ taste. And on top of that it seems they put too much of that flavoring. If they are advertising BBQ chicken please serve just that. The Mac wasn’t bad. Cheesy I’d say. The sauce is good though. Overall I think it was just ok.. Wish they would’ve served actual bbq’d chicken.
Slows to Go – Customer Service. My place of work decided to have a small lunch for our team, and I suggested Slow’s. I have heard many times how good the food is and wanted to try it! I just got off the phone, placing an order that wasn’t complicated at all, and they kept putting me on hold. I was on the phone for over 10 minutes, and placed on hold at least six times in that time period. It was very frustrating, and the last time the lady put me on hold, she didn’t even say anything and just put me on hold while she was getting my payment information! It was very rude, and I personally would not ever call there again! I hope when I pick up my order tomorrow it goes a lot more smoothly then the ordering process. Better phone etiquette would be plus in the future for other callers.
Great food. They have great food, but unfortunately, I have gone vegetarian and don’t care for their veggie chik’n. They have the best mac ‘n cheese ever though that will keep me coming back
Just finished eating my dinner from Slows. Well, by finished I mean picked over and threw most of it in the trash. I am visiting Detroit with my family and we all decided to order something different so we could sample a variety. The ribs? Over peppered and dry. The coleslaw? Too wet. There was waaaayyy too much mayo. The pulled pork? Great flavor. Really fatty. The pecan pie? The jury is still out on whether or not it’s from this planet. The only bright spots? The apple and mustard sauces and the brisket. Those bright spots although pretty great, did not a $70.00 meal make. Save yourself the heartache (and possible heartburn) and go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
Used to be great food!. Used to be one of my go to spots but quality went down drastically. Just not worth it for the price.
