Bad experience. Rude host. Too many family memebers connected with the resturant sitting at the bar. Waited for an hour standing in the entrance only to be told they did not have a table.Very disappointed. Maybe because I was not in their special customer club. Please consider this when choosing this resturant.
Rude to children! Very disappointed, our 9 year old who was eating with us was looking for the bathroom and a server told him he shouldn’t be there in the dining room and if he was standing somewhere, it should n in the parking lot. How does this place survive with such rudeness?
I thought it was pretty good. I was there with a business group of thirty people so your experience may vary. Service was very slow but there were thirty of us. The servers were attentive and kept our drinks and waters filled. They were also very friendly. Our waitress described the specials very well as well as a few regular menu items I was interested in. I had the beef tips with gnocchi and am glad I did, they were great. Beef was perfectly seasoned (salt and pepper) and grilled, tasty and tender. Gnocchi with tomatoes and wilted spinach also hit the spot; I think I found a new favorite pasta. Also, I tried my neighbors lasagna and found the noodles to be ‘al dente’, the sauce meaty and flavorful, the ricotta rich and creamy, and the edges perfectly charred with crispy bits. I would eat there again. My ‘other neighbor’ had the eggplant Parmesan and reported it was OK, not the best but good. The prices seamed reasonable too… Just $16.50 for the beef tips or ciopinno.
Are you kidding. I have eaten in italian restaurants all over the country and this place is overrated. Maybe some of the kudos are from the staff but holy cow never again. The servers are overly trained to be at you becken call but they are kids. All three soups were so spicey the cook clearly not a chef must be hispanic. All three were sent back and salads were offered, these were from a bag and all the dressings absent one were commissary stuff. I had the linguine and marinara and i asked for them to add scalops and shrimp. both were breaded and so spicey, I couldn’t eat them. Whose breads a product that goes into a pasta dish. I don’t care how long they have been there, it only proves that sometimes the locals will eat anything offered. I think the owners who are oh so too cute think they are some kind of legend, maybe in their own minds but certainly not in Italin cuisine. The cook needs to understand the difference between using spices to her taste and true Italian cuisine that doesn’t leave a sting in you mouth for next six hours. This is being written six hours after this fiasco and my tongue still feels like a flame thrower. Never Ever Again
Delicious Food. Great Service. Novi’s Hidden Gem. Mike & Lena Do It Right!
Not so great. Poor experience.
Came here for a baby shower. The decor is a little tacky but fairly typical for italian restaurants. The service was excellent. The food was pretty disappointing. Started with the minestrone soup. Might as well have been canned. Lots of ingredients but not much flavor. Had the salmon salad for my entree. The salmon was okay but cold and the breading was mushy. I’d bet money that the salad came from one of those pre packaged mix green bags you get at the grocery store. Italian restaurants should focus on fresh and homemade dishes. The croutons even tasted store bought. And the bread was soggy as well. This place has potential but needs to improve the quality of dishes.
