I discovered Paris Pastry while looking for locally baked croissants. First it is a horrible location with horrible parking. They are located just south of nine mile on the west side and if you miss the short strip mall entrance you have to drive around the back. I was amazed at the cleanliness and selection. They have a great selection of bite sized chocolate drenched cookies that taste and look like they were baked in Paris. They also carry custard (not white cream) filled French eclairs. I purchased a dozen of their feta cheese stuffed croissants which are out of this world. The bakery is Christian Chaldean and their name suggests the French touch is present in the quality of their cakes cookies, pastry and baklawa which are larger and more flaky than those that are found in most ME bakeries. Even better than Shatilla and Jasmine which are two of Dearborn’s most famous. Pas trop cher (reasonably priced) and definitely worth going out your way for.
