No idea why this is rated so low. They moved up to the old Blockbuster location & the decorating is pretty spiffy! It’s obviously set up for parties, but there are several booths available. Service wasn’t the best, but far from horrid, bit slow but pleasant. We started with the vegetarian appetizer (hummus, baba ganoush, falafel& tabbelouh) which was a pretty good size for $10. The hummus had a nice texture, if a bit bland. The tabbelouh was fresh and good balance of mint & parsely, baba ganoush was very flavourful but my favorite was the falafel. Perfectly seasoned, fried very crispy on the outside and almost fluffy inside. For dinner we each ordered a combo dinner (pick 2 or 3) – I had the lamb tika, beef tika and chicken kafta (rice and salad) and my partner had the beef kafta, chicken kabob and potato chop. All of the meat was nicely seasoned and moist. The lamb was medium well, I would have preferred Medium, but it wasn’t dry. Both the kaftas were well seasoned & had a bit of a kick. The salads were the biggest let down – plain iceberg lettuce with ranch and tomato. The bread was the ‘puffy’ kind (not the dry pita type), it wasn’t noteworthy, but the side of pickled veggies was some of the best I’ve had. All in all, it pretty good (not quite as good as Pita Cafe which is more casual) – a wide variety of dishes, service was ok, quality/freshness was good and atmosphere good. I’ll go back.
