Their fish is wonderful and fresh; their smoked meats and BBQ are excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is very accommodating. We often eat out with our 2 year old and he loves the chicken fingers and french fries.
O’Malley’s Galley-Ortonville. The Fenton location is gone, the Ortonville location is Dynamite! I have eaten the fish (Salmon, michigan perch and grouper), loved all of them. The roasted pork is my favorite though. Place is quaint with a cheery atmosphere and the owners come right to your table to make sure you are more than satisfied, doesn’t hurt that they have a great selection of micro-brews too!This one is worth checking out
What a place!!!!!. On my first visit here, the owner was very friendly and gave me a tour of the kitchen! It was very clean and I couldn’t believe that they don’t have a single microwave. I’ve worked in restaurants for years and most places microwave almost everything! He showed me where they bake the bread in the back. The selection of fresh fish was impressive. They have all of the best kinds and they cook it any way you want. Black and blue salmon was amazing. My wife said the fish and chips was the best she’s ever had. We will definitely be back.
Fenton Location. Took the family tonight and was not impressed. I went for the salad bar advertised on the sign and it was minimal and really didn’t have 1 topping I liked. I basically had salad with cheddar cheese on it. Their dressings weren’t even marked so I hoped I got a lowfat one to put on but who knows. Strange. Everyone at our table said their food was mediocre. The menu was not impressive at all, either. Some minor annoyances: my water glass was so small and full of ice I had to have it refilled five times to choke down my food. They have a bell that people can ring on their way out the door if they liked their meal and then the waitstaff would start clapping. Sorta strange and not something you want to hear every five minutes. Perhaps not a well-thought out gimmick. The owner was socializing with everyone but was rather loud and was offering free desserts to people he was talking to. He never acknowledged us and it wasn’t that busy.
Well. I went to the Fenton location to try it out and was not impressed. The food is average at best and the wait staff, according the owner, doesnt know the menu. The owner was quite condescending. I dont see them lasting long in Fenton with all the competition. If you want good food go to Luckys or the French Laundry.
Fantastic food, incredible atmosphere with the best staff in town. The owners are on hand to make sure your dinning experience is wonderful.
