Jambalaya fried rice with shrimp. Loved this spicy dish from here but they changed the shrimp a while back for some reason and it doesn’t quite taste the same. Must have been a cost cutting thing. I used recommend this place to everyone but I may never go back for this reason.
Edit: the sugar is back in it big time. And the breading is thicker than it ever used to be. They probably haven’t been able to compete with Panda across the way and are adding a bunch of padding to lower costs. Beware the bourbon chicken sauce – I refrigerated leftovers and it congealed into a VERY fatty paste. Back in business under new ownership in the Meridian Mall. They’ve cut a lot of the sugar and breading out, so it seems to be a bit healthier than it used to be (but obviously still probably terrible for you 🙂 The spicy bourbon chicken is delicious! Next time you’re in the mall, ask for a sample!
